Pros

Healthcare, great employee discount, PTO

Cons

Terrible leadership, no work/life balance, expected to work every weekend, constantly required to work cash registers/retail floor (even though the expectation is only during peak season)

Pros

Benefits and some co-workers are the main reasons I’m still here. Having a stocked breakroom is nice when you’re starving.

Cons

Where to start... - RATS are common in this store (Presidio). Not uncommon to see their feces or smell the urine in certain zones. - PAY IS LOW, LOW, LOW. I understand it’s retail but cost of living in SF is expensive and there are many co-workers who work two jobs to make ends meet (myself included). - Certain employees are consistently late and/or call out often and STILL EMPLOYED. Multiple chances given for employees to play the system! - Favortism is blatant where I work. Employees who ARE NOT qualified to be in leadership roles are promoted out of the blue while those who are qualified are passed over.

Pros

Love store vibe, like products and really like the mix of coworkers. 40% Discount is great ...you have employees that not only know their stuff but also participate in it when off the clock and from bikes, ski, swim, hike...

Cons

Started at 11.50 and a year later still at 11.50. I work in an area I have 25 yrs of experience yet I started at 11.50. There is staff in my store alone that I consider experts in their area and yet are making 12-15 an hour! I have no idea how any of the full time staff survive, even managers at the pay levels given. Even with discount most employees can't really afford the products they sell. If you don't make it easier to get time off your employees won't be the experts much longer, telling staff they need to find their replacement is not the way to keep staff.
