Pros

None. There’s nothing good to say about Spreetail

Cons

Too many meetings that you don’t have time to really work. Really bad leadership in the developers team, the person in charge doesn’t listen to other developers, just the ones that have been there for a long time (that are just like 2 because honestly, everybody wants to leave). He wants everything done in a certain way but doesn’t guide you on how it should be done. They use internal components, that doesn’t have good documentation so you also have to guess there how to use everything and probably they will tell you that you made it wrong. The leaders are really awful, and this is something I heard on different developers teams. Also, in my team we where all feeling stress out and nervous because all I just mentioned. If you like a leader that will treat you poorly, doesn’t guide you, lacks of empathy- then go ahead, spreetail is the best for you. I do want to say that I met like 2-3 people there that are really great humans, employees and leaders, but one of them quit because all I just said, and the other ones where so burn out that I’m sure they will be out sooner

Toxic culture

Pros

I think there are a lot of people at Spreetail who are brilliant and who are trying really hard to make it the sort of place Spreetail advertises to every one it is. There are people who care for each other and some teams are exceptional at having each other's back.

Cons

There are also toxic people at Spreetail and the toxic people often win at the end of the day. Why? Because they deliver the numbers. They will bully and push people on their team if they believe it will advance them. The upper leadership only cares about complaints when it starts to affect the bottom line. A toxic leader is treated with kid gloves. I had a team leader who was toxic and would constantly butt heads with his micro-managing style. We let the upper-leadership know. Did they care? No. At least not until almost our entire team resigned at once. The tech organization is highly dysfunctional and way too myopic. There isn't any real care about letting people be professionals and do their job. Instead, VPs stick their necks in the door and often ask questions about things that are not supposed to be within their scope. It creates an environment where decisions are made out of fear instead of expertise.
