Pros
enjoying your team and building a trauma bond
Cons
Senior leadership is super disappointing. Do not provide you with enough labor to service your customers. Senior leaders are so far removed from physical labor their brains cannot comprehend the amount of labor needed to successfully run a store where baristas aren’t exhausted and managers aren’t working 70 hours on the floor a week, let alone “run the business like it’s theirs.” Which includes making schedules, organizing/managing inventory, staffing - from having to find the talent, hire, train and coach. Being on call and available 24/7. Attend meetings, have 1x1 coachings with 20+ partners, never have a day off. They might as well pay for your phone because it is only used for work - say goodbye to any social life. OH and all of this to be expendable and considered free labor for less than $70k a year. It’s a good thing you’re always at work because you would not be able to afford to do anything else besides sleep and you’ll be really tired so it works out. Physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. I started antidepressants because of Starbucks. TOXIC
