Pros

benefits, cool customers, location, free drinks, free coffee. Working here for five years, the people are the greatest asset to this particular store. The regulars are like my friends. The store is located by the waterfront, so the view is great and quite zen at times. Excellent co-workers who work hard to make sure the store is clean and efficient

Cons

pay, not enough hours, overworked, upper management. The pay is very low for someone who has worked there for years. This job is more accustomed to students or part-timers who have another job on the side. During the summer, the air inside is humid, difficult to work around. Non-stop customers coming in, and being short staffed during busy rushes makes it a very difficult store to work for (the low pay grade doesntr help much either)

Pros

Starbucks focus is primarily on quality customer service. What makes Starbucks a fun environment are the partner you work with and the community around it. The knowledge and experience of providing the best coffee per cup for each customer on a daily basis makes work fun. Also, the flexibility of shift coverage among partners allows you flexibility to balance work life and personal time.

Cons

Locations play a role that determine what customers you may acquire on a daily basis. Few conflicts tend to arise from transients that walk in at night. Other than that, its a great company to work for.
