Pros

Great base salary for the design industry. Good way to meet and make connections with interior design firms. Great way to see how design firms work with vendors before making the leap to working for a design firm. New website coming with much greater user interface and functionality.

Cons

Low commission, 2%- so you have to sell a great deal to make much more than your base. No accountability for internal customer service and purchasing departments- it is your responsibility to follow up on every step of every order you place for your clients. Corporate level management invested more in making money than in making an investment in their employees.
