Family culture, open management, interesting projects, management listens and tries to resolve issues. Try to push decisions down to lowest possible level.

Cons

Poor training, silos, teams do not interact well, Sr. employees tend to not take direction or mentoring, everyone wants to lead and nobody wants to follow. No clear direction. Promotions based on who you know. Managers are more functional than technical.

The Software department has good personalities and team spirit; There's a pretty decent emphasis on knowledge sharing and professional development; The technology in the products that Starkey sells is cutting edge and cool to work with.

Cons

Schedules here can be aggressive. Be prepared to work hard and make deadlines, but that is really no different from any other successful company.
