Used to have family values and care for their employees. Upper management not connected AT ALL with employees. Horrible business model.

State Farm used to be a wonderful company that treated it's employees really good, not Google good but still pretty good. In the past few years the Auto Insurance side of the company has taken a terrible turn. They are terrible to their employees and base everything on how many calls or claims a person works and not on the quality of the work which in turn causes poor liability decisions and very poor qualify of handling auto claims in general which in no way is fair to their policy holders. It's unfortunate since we used to pride ourselves of being a step above the rest and not worrying about numbers and more on helping our policy holder no matter what it took. There is no such thing as work/life balance or realistic expectations with sick or weather related absences, No more company picnics or special work groups to encourage values and diversity or any other area of interest, nothing to keep employees happy and engaged.
