Pros

Benefits are very good. Job security if you meet the required profile. Really stretching to say anything positive. The company appears to not favor commitment and experience, due to the changes made recently that were inconsiderate and even life changing for tenure employees.

Cons

Micromanaged Metric Driven Not a lot of room for growth. Job not favorable to parents or adults with responsibilities outside of work.

Pros

Continuing education, A+ rated company, largest home and auto insurance company in the USA.

Cons

No flexibility in schedule. Professional level employees are now treated with no respect. The blanket call center they have attempted implement in claims is horrible. We are are hiring less qualified entry level employees and not training them properly. Customer service levels are at an all time low. In the past State Farm cared very much about their employees and it showed in the way the employees treated our customers. Now employees are expected to work nights, holidays and weekends. Including Thanksgiving and Christmas. Management is also expected to work long hours with unreasonable expectations. We have become a company that treat employees as just another number and it shows in our service.

Pros

Great schedule, partial work from home for OT. Co-workers are awesome.

Cons

Company will not hire you back if you were FMLA or ADA employee. I reapplied for my last position and was told I am not competitive for it. Applied for lower positions and again not competitive. HR said I was re-hirable but doesn't mean they will take me back. Word of advice don't leave if you have a disability because they will find every excuse in the book to keep you out. Liabilities like you are NOT wanted.
