Pros

Good pay and benefits. Tuition reimbursement and insurance education paid courses. Great people still around in spite of the multitude of changes.

Cons

As one long time underwriter said "State Farm took something that wasn't broken and ruined it " The reorganization and constant changes have brought stress, confusion and confirmation that upper management is clueless and ruining a formerly great company. The writing is on the wall for losing major market share and loyal customers It is tragic watching the weekly changes yet more work piles up and more employees quit or retire.

Pros

Somewhat competitive pay, Benefits start day 1, Lucky enough to have great co-workers, They've never laid off employees

Cons

Focus is on metrics and not the customer or employee. Behind the curve in technology. The pay is not equal to your workload, and more tasks get added daily. Changes are impromptu, not well developed and usually don't last. Extreme micromanagement and an exhausting amount of feedback. Promotion is based on need and a degree, not the quality of your work, or experience.

Pros

Decent benefits package but that is being diminished as well.

Cons

Absolutely everything is scripted, including empathy there is no way to deviate from the claims script no matter how absurd it sounds to the employee or customer.
