Pros

State Farm is an industry leader for all insurance realtes products. The company pays well and has toms of career paths to explore. I was an employee for 11 years and learned an incredible amount knowledge while working for the company.

Cons

The company has lost sight of what made it great the people. With the movement to hubs State Farm has sacraficed talent and experience for cheaper labor. This translates into sub par customer service which leads to policy loss/ cancellation. Also talent and ability take a backseat to geographic mobility when speaking of promotions.

Pros

Company gives bonuses, pay raises, and allows to work from home on occasions

Cons

Pay is extremely low, quality of life is like being a 3 year old, and they rely very heavily on numbers and production. No opportunities to move up if you aren't in a selected group.

Pros

They are hiring more and more recently. They used to be a wonderful, caring company.

Cons

They have so positions open because the direction they are taking the company has hurt many of the employees who have worked for them the longest. The changes they are making effect employees' home life. The company no longer cares about their employees, only about making money and they will do whatever it takes to whoever they can to make it. It's being reflected in customer satisfaction but they refuse to acknowledge it. Bottom line: any company that has any respect or concern for their employees will see how well their employees want to treat and care for the customers in return. The opposite is also true - especially in this company's case.
