Pros

A great place to start a career in insurance. Training provided, paid training for license, paid licensing exam. Profit sharing bonus program, paid tuition and tuition reimbursement.

Cons

The salary, wages and raises are some of the lowest I. The industry. May people are leaving to to work for other reputable companies in the industry that pay more for the same positions. No worklife balance ; Certain positions have a point system that is unforgiving for true and uncontrollable situations. If you reach 20 points you job can be terminated, a full absence is 4 points. Points stay on your record for 6 months. For the average person who comes to work and ontime, having a few emergencies can leave one feeling jittery about keeping their job.

Pros

State Farm provides a pension in which you are fully vested in after 5 years employment. Lower level managers express an interest in the success of their employees.

Cons

State Farm has not kept up with competitors when it comes to salary. State Farm does not provide work/life balance for field claim employees (overtime is required to keep up with expectations). Upper level managers are only focused on money; they lack compassion for those doing the work (claim adjusters).
