Pros

Use to be family friendly. Use to support employees and provide great customer service

Cons

Run away from this employer. This is no longer for career minded folks. They will drain you and use you until you quit. High attrition rate

Pros

The job security is a pro, it seems the turn over right is high so if you suck it up...you should be fine.

Cons

The company changed so much with the recent retirement of the CEO and "merger" into the new world. They open up bidding for vacations in January and you are to input the days you want off for the remainder of the year...who does that? I have some things planned out but not my full year in advance. This in turn leaves every Friday and Monday for the rest of the year unavailable because people snatched those up fast. You cannot even look to extend your weekend with the days off you've earned because of this. Previously your scheduled shifts were only 6 months long and you would bid for another shift after the 6 months were up. Now they are permanent and if you get late shift, you are stuck with it FOREVER (Sandlot style). You have the availability to swap days with someone but that's like pulling teeth because nobody wants to work late. They cut down on the daily huddles but they review your metrics constantly, it's difficult to provide good customer service when you are rushed to finish/wrap things up. It's led to an environment where people try to cut corners or complete the easy tasks to pad their numbers on the board. Speaking of the board, its almost like in Kindergarten, your numbers are green (good), blue (ok but not there yet), and red (tisk tisk) - the boards are laid out for everyone to see. The recent changes have caused people to quit, retire early, or go to a competitor.
