Pros

It was good pay but I had worked there for over 20 years so I had earned to the salary. My coworkers were wonderful!

Cons

Everything has changed. State Farm used to be the best company to work for. They no longer are caring and micro manage their employees on all levels. You are strictly reviewed and the workload is overwhelming because they keep making the departments cut back employees, however they are adding job duties to all positions. Management has to sit with every employee and review them at least once a week. There is so much stress that the employees are unhappy and it is coming across in their customer service. I have a friend who cries almost daily at work because she is so stressed and she is an upbeat hard worker. It is truly a nightmare and has gone from a fantastic place to work to one of the worst work environments imaginable.

Cons

Salary is low compared to some of the other insurance companies with a name in the industry. Employees are not really appreciated for the work that they do. Everything about the job is driven by metrics. State Farm makes an already stressful situation even more stressful with the metrics, and constant monitoring. The only reason employees are not watched in the restrooms is because it is illegal, or maybe State Farm has just not been caught yet. Everything with State Farm is shoved down employees throat. Coaching by some team managers is taken to the extreme by constant monitoring. At some point this can be seen as staking and not coaching.
