Pros

People are nice, hubs are pretty but not the best design. One exit parking deck sucks. ..But still pretty! 401k and pension is good to.

Cons

I used to love working for the company. Now they make it so difficult with micromanaging, metrics and no work life balance. Now you have to accrue time and use PTO even if you're ill. It's 2017 and frankly most of these jobs can be worked from home. Instead they'd rather have us punch some stupid time clock (micromanaging) so they can "watch" us. Then they build these million dollar glorified hubs, sell them and then rent back from the new owner! That's plain stupid. I also relocated across county for a promotion and they did not help pay for relocation! If your going from one hub to another you don't qualify BUT it's up to management discretion! So obviously I'm not a bad employee since I got promoted, I just think they are losing a lot of money and it's sad that good employees have to deal with their lack of management and poor decisions that are made for the entire enterprise. The company has gone down a lot especially since the last CEO left a few years ago! The new one sucks!!!

Pros

Good benefits 401K, health insurance and pension

Cons

A lot has changed at State Farm the last few years. The company has been pinching pennies at the cost of dollars. The metrics have wrecked their good neighbor brand, but they may have saved a few cents limiting man hours. Now they realize customers and employees are not satisfied. Now the company goals for the next year is to coach to quality and quantity. I truly believe they are no longer the good neighbor- they are more like the selfish and "stingy" neighbor. I strongly dislike the prison that I live in each day. Additionally, I am underemployed and under paid. State Farm gives the perception that you can "move up" but now that I took the claims role, they have placed us on a stabalization. I did not got to college chool for so long to be stuck in a glorified call center.

Pros

Extensive Claims training that other companies value will hire you immediately. It's a pay check with benefits

Cons

Extreme micromanagement. Not treated as a person. We work to computers and not the people who are our customers. The metrics are unbearable and unrealistic. Good luck if you have a family because the workload is impossible. Overtime is often mandatory. Your work schedule changes every 6 months or less. The stress level very high. Cannot get time off when needed. Penalized if you get sick and can lose your job you exceed their designated point system. Public humiliation for not being the best in each metric category.
