      Pros

      Great benefits package, job mobility, tons of resources and training

      Cons

      understaffed, constant change in procedure & policy (at least every 2-3 years), cut throat environment ( to each his own, no one really cares about each other). When I first started at State Farm, it was a family environment, management cared about the employees, employee morale was important, but now all of that is out of the window, it's all about numbers. They tell you isn't, but it is.

      Pros

      Worked as an agent staff at State Farm office with an agent nearing retirement. Working at a small business like this was an extremely immersive experience that taught me to work hard and learn on my own.

      Cons

      Customer service is difficult - especially when you are faced with the task of a closing insurance agency. The agent you work for will dictate what life at work is like.
