      Not the best place to work

      Pros

      The company in the past has been a stable company. Health and pension benefits are good. State Farm is moving its work force to 4 primary locations: Bloomington, IL, Dallas Tx, Atlanta GA, Phoenix AZ.

      Cons

      The company is in transition and cutting massive numbers at the mid management and analyst levels. There has been very little work force development over the last 7 years resulting in a workforce not ready for a future business state. The State Farm answer? Massive cuts and hiring from the outside. There is very little loyalty to employees and the culture is terrible. Leadership has been poor and many employees are frustrated, disheartened and struggling to understand the direction and environment. State Farm lost 1.7 billion last year due to poor management.

      Pros

      None, this company has lost it's direction in the industry and has absolutely no respect or loyalty to long time dedicated employees who have gone above and beyond job responsibilities for years, to make sure customers are taken care of.

      Cons

      Tons of overtime and then told not to report it for pay, ILLEGAL but has gone on in the field for years. No work life balance Terrible leadership at the Corporate level Would never recommend employment. Years ago it was one of the greatest companies around and a great place to work. They have lost all direction and could care less about those that take care of customers and have given State Farm the Good Neighbor reputation. That reputation is swiftly going down the drain!

      Pros

      A paycheck. Nothing else really more could be considered as a “pro” about this company. The days of positive outlook or thoughts have been long gone. The only pro is going home at the end of day.

      Cons

      No work/life balance Point system for attendance Job uncertainty Unsafe work conditions Management is helpless to the changes Micromanagement at it’s worse Jobs are moving to hub locations, smaller offices are closing over the next few years Too much stress for such little pay Favoritism
