- Startup hours. Because the team is small, there's some expectation that you'll put in the extra time. While leadership values work-life balance, there have been times I worked after hours or while on PTO.
- Startup speed of change. Because Stem is growing rapidly, there is a LOT of change, which can be disorienting if you're not prepared to be super adaptable.
- Unclear processes. Again, because Stem is a startup, there's a lot of room to improve and clarify processes.
- Self-direction. This is a pro and con, in my mind. It's nice to be able to direct your own work, but if you're looking for specific direction from your managers, you'll likely have to pull it out of them.
- The music industry. It's a different kind of beast, and if you're not passionate about it, you're likely to be frustrated by it.
