Low starting salary Apparently the trend is to low ball people who are on unemployment, offer $35 K as a starting salary and then hit you for $150 a month for a base model Ford Escape You get a 1% raise a year and the President thinks they are competitive Yea, thats why they have a high turn over Front Line Managers often refer to techs as Idiots I keep in touch with a few techs there , all are looking for new jobs. No surprise If you accept a job with this company, trust me, you will regret it immediately

Some nice people in the company with industry experience. Hard to get fired because they are desperate to keep sales team members. Can literally go months with putting zeros on the board and not get fired.

Cons

Meetings about meetings about meetings. Every second of every day must be accounted for in CRM...this is incredibly time consuming. Only 2 prospecting methods (pound the telephone and knock on doors). Spend way more time talking about the sales process versus actually selling...then management wants to talk about it some more. Teleprospecting is becoming more and more difficult. It can be done properly when you reference sell and have testimonials. No DMs want to hear a commissioned sales person say how they helped relevant company XYZ...do you have time on Tuesday at 10 or Thursday at 1? These DMs want to hear it directly from your satisfied clients who are not paid commission on Stewart products/services. The micro management here will make any seasoned sales professional pull their hair out. It seems like it's more important to make 70 phone calls a day with zero meaningful conversations versus actually selling...but as long as your activity is logged in the CRM and every second of your calendar up to date, you had a good day. People sell the make money and have freedom!!!

Thanks for writing and for the sales efforts you made while here. I'd like to address a few points in your review. While someone is getting up to speed, there can be zeros on the board. What we look for is activity to see that the work is being put in to build the pipeline for future months. This may lead to your micromanagement conclusion. We feel the CRM can only help you with your sales activities. The reminders, the forecasts -- it's all there. Seasoned sales professionals see the value and know how to make it a few minutes a day that will yield desired outcomes. And those successful sales professionals do have the freedom you reference. The meetings are intended as coaching opportunities, team camaraderie and healthy competition. If those hours are spent wisely and you seek to incorporate the info into your day, the time is well spent. We will keep your feedback in mind and ensure we stay focused on RESULTS and activities to get each salesperson hitting their professional and personal goals.
