Pros

flexible schedule remote work vacation/sick time benefits clear expectation of work

Cons

no raises or promotions as a full time stylist unless you become a Lead, in which you still won't get a raise. more work is being expected while compensation stays the same sick time has been decreased recently can become repetitive, mindless work after a while

Pros

It is flexible and fun to pick out special things for our clients.

Cons

I have been a stylist for 3.5 years. When I started, things were very flexible and mgmt was very laid back. As long as you got your hours done for the week and were getting good feedback from clients, nothing more was asked of you. In recent years, they expect us to keep a schedule which is hard to stick to if you are a stay at home mom like myself. They also ask for more forms and info and we are frequently asked to be a part of video chats or group chats where the same info is discussed in my opinion. I have also been asked to be a part of 2 specialty teams, and while flattering, I still make the EXACT same hourly rate that I started with. Even though I have stayed in good standing. Part-time stylists are replaceable and we are never incentivized. I even thought of leaving for a few months and coming back and they told me I would have to be re-hired as if I was a new candidate. I do not feel valued by Stitch Fix and my long-standing relationships with my clients all over the country do not seem that important to them.

Pros

Very flexible job, pay isn't bad. Senior Stylist position created for those who have been with the company for over a year and have performed well. Great, positive company culture. Recognition of improved/outstanding performance within company metrics.

Cons

-Inventory is the biggest issue here. There are other reviewers who have noted the 4 Fixes/hour requirement, which would be MUCH easier (and more fun) if there was more variety of merchandise and more seasonally appropriate pieces. There seems to be a disconnect between the marketing and what we actually have to choose from when styling. This results in a lot of negative feedback from clients, for which we stylists are penalized (even though it's not our fault). Also, there are very little opportunities to grow within the company, and styling alone can get tedious and boring- but again, if we had better inventory, I probably wouldn't feel that way.
