Pros

Work from home, flexible schedule

Cons

The stylists get the brunt of the work and get punished and critiqued often and then never praised or acknowledged when they do well. They expect college degrees and great writing skills, but they pay and treat you like fast food workers. Everything is becoming factorized and a more bureaucratic system. There is tonnssss of feedback downward in the company, but feedback going up is extremely hard because they want stylists to just stick to reaching out to their Lead. Leads just corral the stylists and placate them and get them on coaching plans when the problem is not their fault. If you reach out for help, you are given more work and it's pretty condescending like you're failing. Everyone likes to keep extremely positive attitudes, but it's disingenuous. Studies show that if you are unhappy in your job and you are criticized for being unhappy, it makes you even unhappier. Sooo..

Pros

Flexible schedule, work when you want. Great as a second career later in life.

Cons

Lower pay, restricted hours, too little time to effectively style clients. Also, clientele is generally mean. Feedback sent via app or online and they frequently insult you. They barely write a note about their needs and then slam you for not getting it right. Inventory sucks. It's nearly May, and there are winter coats, sweaters, long sleeve knits and then straight to halter tops. Somehow we missed short sleeves.
