Pros

Straight North offers an awesome work-life balance with flexible hours. The environment is very laid back, and the employees there are super friendly. The managers are really awesome and know their stuff. They are more than willing to help you learn and grow!

Cons

The biggest con to working here (especially if you're fresh out of college) is the low pay. While most entry-level position obviously pay low, the start pay here is extremely low. There is also not a lot of room for promotion, which is a bummer if you really like the company but feel you have outgrown your position. Lastly, the PTO/Sick days are rolled into one, so you have to use them wisely.

Marketing Analyst and Specialist Positions

Pros

Growing company that presents a lot of opportunities for career growth. You will learn a lot of skills at this company and the company promotes from within most of the time. Promotions happen regularly in many areas of the company and If you start off as an Internet Marketing Analyst, you will most likely be promoted to a Specialist position within a few months. The management team and staff are very knowledgeable. Management is very open to new ideas and will regularly try new ways to do things. Work/life balance is also excellent and they are pretty flexible with scheduling.

Cons

Pay is very low, even for recent college grads that are looking to gain experience in a entry-level position. To be fair, they are up-front about salary and compensation during the interview process. They are a growing company in a competitive field that is looking to control costs, but salary is still well below average. If you meet or exceed expectations, you will receive a raise after the 6-month mark and the 1 year mark. Even after this, your pay will still be low and is what you probably should have started off at in the first place, especially if you are promoted to a specialist position. As an Analyst, if you receive a promotion to a specialist position, you will not receive a raise until your 6-month work anniversary, even if you are promoted to a specialist position rather quickly. Employee turn-over has also been high.
