I have worked for Straight North for some time now and truly enjoy going to work each day. The leadership at Straight North can be found interacting daily with all employees - be it a planned meeting on a current client or an impromptu conversation about hockey! During the Hawks Stanley Cup run this year - Straight North gave out over a dozen authentic Chicago Blackhawks jerseys to some very lucky employees! At Straight North, your employment is a matter of mutual importance and not just in terms of "livelihood" and "human resource," but as an integral member of the Straight North team. Straight North believes that hard work and commitment will not only lead to success, but will also give each employee a sense of pride and accomplishment. On a lighter note: The office kitchen is fairly well stocked for all employees. Lunches are catered often and I heard that we just acquired a Weber grill for some lunchtime BBQ's. Straight North has a very casual yet professional atmosphere.

I've been at Straight North just over a year & have been given every opportunity to excel & prove myself. The best thing I can say about my experience, is that I feel like I have a tremendous amount of autonomy. I wear multiple hats, have gained unlimited expertise from peers/mentors, & at the end of the day if you do what's right for the client & our team you earn the respect of your colleagues. Additionally, Straight North has supported me with advanced training & educational opportunities.

Cons

Fast pace challenging, competitive, and demanding industry. If you want someone to hold your hand everyday — Straight North is not your best fit.

I’ve worked here for 5 years. Great place to work, pretty casual. Colleagues and management are friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere with plenty of perks such as catered lunches every once in a while, free drinks and snacks. There is a sense of community within the office. Everyone treats each other with respect. The company really gives people the opportunity to prove themselves and rewards employees with advancement opportunities.
