Pros
... We don't have two turn tables or microphones and Beck isn't actually on the payroll, but we do have a dartboard, our own hockey team, catered lunches and an infinite free snack bar to help add a layer of protection from the Chicago Winters. I began working at Straight North right out of college, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to be a SN employee! Over the years I've worked here, I've expanded my skill set an unbelievable amount and been presented with countless growth opportunities and responsibilities. If you are a hard worker, it is noticed and will take you far. My favorite thing about Straight North is the "all hands on deck" mentality that only can exist in a small company. This mentality allows people to work on many different tasks to get the job done and to grow their knowledge. This keeps things exciting because everyday is different. Management hires people who are self starters and do not need to be micromanaged. As an employee, it is a huge perk to be given the freedom to "own" tasks and projects with the trust that it's taken care of without needing to follow up. If you are a dedicated, hard worker who would like to grow in more ways than just a linear, one-track career path, Straight North is for you.
Cons
If you're anti caffeine, I suppose the unlimited free coffee and tea would be a con.
