      The everyday people you interact with at Stripe are world class, but as you go up the management chain, less and less so.

      Cons

      Important decisions are kept hidden but they promote "transparency", they're constantly behind on projects, large hierachy of managers of managers of managers Re-org every few months, getting up level is a pain, no longer worth it because RSUs stay the same, new joiner L4s earning less than L1s Largest con is that the work weeks are > 70 hours and everyones ALWAYS online but never responding when you need them

      - Horrible work life balance - Incompetent middle management - Full of smart people who won't listen/acknowledge the truth - If you have experience in your field, avoid this place. You will be managed by very junior leaders who imitate the WORST that FAANG/Amazon have to offer If you are coming from

      Very talented people Pay is reasonable to market

      Cons

      Management by fear. Low job security. Because people are afraid to lose their jobs, they work long hours to keep up and eventually burn out physically and mentally. The company does not care for their employees' wellbeing at all. They treat people like they are disposable.
