Pros

Working for SubCom means wearing different hats to overcome various technical challenges and commercial situations. Never a dull moment - very industry to be part of in the current geopolitical atmosphere. Being part of constructing and enhancing human and data communications is an extremely rewarding experience.

Cons

Long hours. Compensation not keeping track with industry / market conditions.

Pros

Pretty good pay, they allow most to telework

Cons

There is a strong lack of diversity, especially in management. Training is not really offered. There are no training packages and they rely on the experience of dwindling long-term staff members. They do not take longevity or loyalty into promotional opportunities, especially if you do not fit the mold, such as being a woman or minority. The person in charge of training does not have the time or personality, or patience to effectively provide training. For those procurement professionals thinking of applying; expect frustration. Expectations are not outlined the procurement process is chaotic.
