Pros

Company has good leadership (at the branch level) and reasonable sales goals. Coworkers are supportive and friendly. You will get raises/promotions for exceeding your goal.

Cons

Company culture is very "member centric" but we were asked to push products that were not in members' interests. Management did not appreciate if this fact was brought up. Generally any criticism of the company is not treated well.

Pros

Great benefits and good pay

Cons

Management has no empathy for employee situations. They had known for years that I would eventually ask for part time hours due to my husband's worsening disability. They yessed me for years about it, but when the time came, refused to consider cutting my hours even though I could get all my work done in the time frame requested (I was back office). I don't even want to get into the crap they put me through my last few years there, suffice to say the loyalty I gave them for almost 15 years meant nothing to them.

Pros

Great educational/training dept. Some of the most knowledgeable people in the biz to get you where you need to be to be successful in your position that is catered to Summit’s vision. Definitely enjoyed working with the members.

Cons

Unreal expectations of goals that are standard across all branches even in low traffic ones. Cold calling! Like really? Acts like a bank vs a credit union. Goals are not rewarded enough when reached, but beware if you have a bad month be prepared to hustle your members. Sooo many upper management micro managing all branches, don’t forget you also have your actual manager micro managing as well.
