Pros

Pay is alright if you have been there long enough but you can get better pay else where. Employee discount is great.

Cons

I have been here for almost 2 years and there seems to be no guidelines to training or placement of employees. We have been understaffed and in the past few months half of the longer lasting employees have mentioned looking for other jobs and they havent been able to keep any of the new hires. You have to be team lead’s pet in order to be trained on equipment and there is no rhyme or reason on schedule placement. During my time here Ive been asked by my superiors to lie to new hires and compensation to write a good review. It is completely mentally draining.

Poor Management

Pros

Your normal employees who actually do the work and keep the company going are all great people.

Cons

Management is a boys club, you're either in or your not. Management only cares about how they look, they do not care at all about their employees. Management will attempt to bully employees and if they can't bully they will flat out treat you bad. I have witnessed both racism and sexism from the management. IT is also the most under paid I have seen as you can make just as much money in the Warehouse and not have your mental health suffer. They will make grand promises of training and growth, which will never come.

Pros

No pros found with this place......if you're not a favorite you will either quit or get fired.

Cons

Favoritism and excessive mandatory overtime. Never able to catch a break. No formal training. Constant management turnover. Morale is very low. Overall sucks to work here.

Pros

There is hands on training. They are supportive of individuals who have visible physical limitations/disabilities.

Cons

If you are hired on as a temp (even though you applied through the company website) you are forced to visit a Ryan Staffing agency and reapply through them. This allows Summit to pay you less money than you would earn if they didn't use a middle man. They do not allow anyone to work part time even if you provide them with a medical excuse. They will "accept" it, cut your hours & then let you go. Summit discriminates against individuals with mental & physical disabilities that are not visible to the public eye. Instead of giving employees a living wage, they spend thousands on free lunches every Sunday & once a month. Their computer programs are so out of date that it makes ordering by phone or online extremely frustrating for both the customer & employees. One of the most annoying things about this company is how unusually invasive they are. You cannot even use the bathroom without filing out paperwork, they will post your employee picture on a state wide company roster without your consent and they listen in on your conversations at all times. They can hear what you're saying over your headset even when you are not speaking with a customer & will punish you for having your own opinion. Summit Racing also pushes their personal political(you are never allowed to watch anything in the break room other than Fox Eight News) & religious beliefs( clearly seen in their dress code) on employees.

Pros

Great pay, climate controlled warehouse, automation advancement, good discount, not micromanaged.

Cons

Management seems very inexperienced and lacks people kills and engagement, definitely gives off a “good ole boys” vibe with favoritism. Training is very unorganized and minimal. Outbound schedule is late in and late out.
