Pros

Surescripts is a great place to work. The pay is above average, the people are fun and smart, and the direction of the company seems promising. Every day is a new challenge.

Cons

The work can be complex. Perfection is expected and the backlog of work is endless, so burn out is a constant issue. High performers are pushed to do more while some mid-level performers are allowed to skate by.

Pros

Early Death. Instead of a bonus we get a lavish end of year party that lasts an hour. Good way to spend money. ::eyeroll::

Cons

You're in a deep sleep, then you get a phone call at 3 AM that the data center gas system went off because the hard drives are on fire. Then you have to drive to the data center and help put out the fires. Then executives call foaming out the mouth blaming everyone but themselves.

Pros

Great benefits and pay with a flexible work from home policy. Good work-life balance, almost no evening or weekend work and a great place to coast in your career for a few years.

Cons

Morale is low on many teams, frequent turnover in key positions and general lack of direction from senior leadership. Middle management is inexperienced with minimal leadership training/skills. Operates like a utility company, slow and steady, not a lot of excitement. Senior positions are filled from the outside resulting in limited opportunities to grow your career.
