Pros

Sense of camaraderie with my team. Great boss. Culture of mentoring and teaching. Company filled with brilliant and very talented individuals. Company tries to incorporate fun amidst the hard work. If you like the start-up company feel, but larger corporate resources, then you'll like it here.

Cons

Start-up company feel has its perks but also downsides: still organizing; still has a sense of urgency to grow; interdepartmental communication is not that great for larger projects; very steep learning curve because it is a healthcare information network (if you do not know healthcare and technology and pharmacy industries).

Pros

Surescripts values it’s employees and allows us the ability to do the work that needs to be done. It is great to be on a team that Is committed to doing what it can to help patients have positive experiences and outcomes and not just think about the company bottom line. The teams here work hard and then they get opportunities to play. The appreciation shown is great.

Cons

The nature of the markets we serve mean that you need to be a hard worker and sometimes things are very fast paced. Appreciation for our efforts is shown, but if you aren’t able to manage a fast paced, busy environment, this may not be the place for you.

Pros

Participate with consensus bodies and government agencies identifying and solving for real world health care issues. I am not micromanaged. I have some time in the office and some at home to keep balance. We have peer group collaboration meetings to remove silos of work. We have team building meetings to help us stay in tune with a fast evolving and changing work place.

Cons

Sometimes I am in meeting overload and have to miss out on important updates to meet deadlines. The solutions available throughout the spectrum of care need to be further vetted for a complete and diverse offering solution set to customers. Products often see themselves as the only way to make money for the organization for the offerings they support as is... some product teams lack vision or the enthusiasm around innovation.
