      Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

      Pros

      When working on the shop floor, it is easy to start on the bottom and move up if you work hard and put in the appropriate effort.

      Cons

      When working in the office, it is hard to move up. There is a lot of turnover. Poor decision making my management. Mangers do not interact with their employees.

      Pros

      ESOP. Good training for unskilled workers.

      Cons

      Supervisors with zero experience write your reviews and are in charge of your pay raises. They will fire you for small infractions. They will bully you into working a 24/7 shift. No room for advancement after your initial training. The new health insurance plan they talk-up is a joke. Language barrier between the large amounts of Indians they employ. Unhelpful human resources department.

      Pros

      Very welcoming environment. And people leave work right at 5pm. Once you're in the company, they do a good job of making it hard for you to leave. There is almost always a work function that has food, so inevitably, you could eat lunch for free almost 5 days a week.

      Cons

      People start their day extremely early. It's also a meeting-intensive environment. Meetings are scheduled literally for the sake of having meetings. Swagelok is a bit like high school -- there are the cool kids, those who think they are cool and want in, and then those who just hang on the periphery. The last group inevitably does all the work.
