Pros

The schedule is flexible. If there are no flights on a given day, you're off that day. The supervisor is genuinely nice.

Cons

The managers of RJ are stuck up and would treat you badly if you're not on their good side. If their egos get hurt because of you, expect to be let go from the airline. The coworkers are two faced and will bully you if your learning speed is slower than usual. If you're any different from them, they'll torment you regarding it. You have 12 points through out your career here. You call off 4 hours before scheduled time , thats one point off. Call off within 4 hours and that 4 points off. Same goes for no come no show. You HAVE to clock in 6 minutes before scheduled time. If you don't, then thats one more point off. You come late, that half a point off. There is a conflict of wanting specific days off since they are always short on people for some apparent reason. You also would need someone to cover for you if you need a day off and most of the people working there are pretty stingy with their off days. Also, no benefits what so ever. If you are looking for benefits, go for American Airlines or United. Overall, the airline is managed horribly. Communication between the managers are always two ways. One will say this but the other will say another and you're conflicted on which to pick. Expect them to bend rules for their friends who happens to be traveling. The communication between coworkers are pretty horrible too. If they have seniority, they'll do whatever seems right to them disregarding if they are breaking the rules or not. If they make a mistake, they never get held accountable but if you're pretty new here, you will get blamed for things you didn't even do. You will also be expected to do more labor induced work if you're new. Oh, also, they are more lenient towards women for some reason. You are treated differently if you're a male. Most importantly, If you arrive early and you happen to bring your lunch, they will have you eat it anywhere but the office. No drinks or food in the office even though every other airline doesn't seem to have this preposterous rule since I see them eating in the office at any given time. The uniform that Swissport offers you would be either small or too baggy so expect to give and take at any moment. They will also take months to send it to you so have your own blazer and pants/shirts. The team has a "briefing" before you go out to check-in and its completely useless, they go over the same stuff everyday and, again, if you make a mistake, thats when one of the supervisors will announce to everyone about how an "anonymous" agent (I say it like that because when they talk about, they look directly at the agent who made a mistake so everyone would subtly know about it.) made a mistake and how to correct it.

Pros

Co-workers are nice. Plenty of over time

Cons

Overworked and waaaay under-paid. Expect there to be problems with your pay-check (missing hours, sometimes no check at all). Upper Management is the worst that I've EVER seen! They don't even come down and introduce themselves. They walk right past you and will not speak. Lets not even talk about the HR department there....I've seen more competence in my toddler. The employee moral is beyond low. There's no appreciation for the work you do. Hell, we cant even get heat in the building during the winter. They think we are machines!!!
