Pros

There are great people here and the technology they are using is somewhat interesting. The benefits they offer are decent.

Cons

The company is hierarchically run, in a top down manner. There is not a lot of room for career advancement or autonomy. Not much cross collaboration or very well organized.

Pros

When I joined the company, the CEO John Lert defined a solid productive inspiring environment. He brewed coffee for everybody, was very detail-oriented and highly technical. This was due to him and other execs at that time, that CasePick was successful early on. However, times changed in 2009 when the company was acquired by C&S and replaced the CEO.

Cons

When C&S acquired CasePick, things turned for worse. Both C&S team and the new CEO has brought opaque dysfunctional system with politics. All talented people left in 2010-2011. C&S tried to spin off the company and renamed it to SymBotic and hired Jim Baum as CEO who currently doesn't even list SymBotic on Linkedin. Very sad story.

Pros

1. Medical benefits were decent 2. Product design is revolutionary

Cons

1. Hiring teams of people from other C&S subsidiaries to replace current employees. 2. No corporate transparency or communication. 3. As others have said, there is no clear leadership. 4. Lack of understandable salary and bonus structure. 5. Nepotism runs wild, leaders who have zero previous experience in management roles. 6. Passing blame between hardware and software departments is out of control. 7. Meetings, upon meetings, upon meetings, upon meetings, about nothing. 8. Unrealistic milestones and goals.

We have always believed in referrals, but are always trying to improve our hiring strategy to select the best in the industry. Our executive team has been adding more collaborative and strategic meetings in order to be sure that we are beating to the same drum.
