Pros

Money to be made during busy season through long hours and overtime.

Cons

Terrible Communication from Regional Management. Was underpaid for several months with excuses made weekly on rate negotiation. No room for promotion unless your family. Workplace politics sought to undermine and oust those they did not like through outright lies, post work site sabotage. Grievances fall on deaf ears and bonuses went unpaid into the owners pockets. Bribes are offered to the local broadband company QC officers to ensure they got the contracts and ratings they need. Issued equipment for use was often sub-par, unsafe, and out of spec. Had little regard for the safety of their techs during inclement weather (all seasons). Avoid this company at all cost.

Pros

It was a paying job.

Cons

Horrible communication between managers. $10 an hour working 12-16 hour days. NEVER received a properly working meter to read signals. Received bonus production pay the first few weeks then $10 after. Managers couldn’t keep schedules straight forcing me to lose days of work and money forcing me to pick up a temporary sending job and they refused. Final straw was when they over paid EVERYONE causing major financial issues with all techs. Lots and lots of other issues. STAY AWAY!!

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts regarding your employment with TAK Communications. While my personal goal and that of our company is to make TAK Communications the best company for which each of our employees has worked, we obviously did not measure up in your case. For that I must apologize and let you know that my staff and I will use your comments to insure we do things better for each and every one of our associates going forward. You see, up until just a few years ago, TAK Communications was a very small company with big aspirations. Since that time, we have grown to the point where we now have well over 1,000 people working for us. As a result of our fast-paced growth, we have on occasion not met the expectations of certain individuals with regards to training for success. Unfortunately, it appears you are one of them. Please know, however, that we strive to make sure all of our employees are properly and adequately trained, have the correct tools needed to successfully fulfill their roles and are compensated properly for the work completed. I take your comments very seriously and we will be discussing them in the coming weeks, identifying what we can do better for all employees and implementing those items and processes going forward. Thanks for being a TAK employee and thanks again for your comments. While they are somewhat tough to read, in the end, I firmly believe they will make us a better company. Sincerely, Micah Mauney, CEO

Pros

Great income potential, flexibility, benefits. Overall my experience working full time for TAK had been great. I have been able to travel and live in a lot of the Midwest(Minneapolis, Denver, Duluth, Kansas City, Rosemount, St. Louis) per diem and paid hotel. Income has increased overtime based on how much I personally was willing to put forward. I like that for the most part I can control my own destiny. Benefits, the company really does care about keeping long term employees. 401k, health, vision, dental, even injury insurance (breaking your leg doesn't mean you lose your job)

Cons

To much focus on short term metrics. Treating 1 issue like the end of the world. The bigger picture is what should matter. Long hours. This job is a 6:30 am to 6:30 pm deal, sometimes you will get stuck alone working till 8-9 pm with very little breaks or help. Company doesn't always honor what they offer and you may find your self doing work for nothing
