Thanks for the advice. Management is cognizant of how our culture could change as we grow and is actively working to keep the “small company vibe.” Sprees, lunches, PIEs (our communities of interest), all-hands meetings and other activities all help us to hang out and work with our colleagues that we don’t get to see regularly.

Pros

Lots of different non-salary benefits, including good health insurance. Smart, hardworking co-workers. Many projects have flexible hours and telecommuting options. Good management that actually cares about the company and it's employees Ethical organization. Lots of transparency into the company.

Cons

Some projects require telecommuting. If you don't like to work 100% from home, this could be an issue for you.

Working from home all of the time isn’t for everyone. Some like to shake it up a bit and work from a coffee shop, library, shared workspaces, their vacation home, or any other places they find more satisfying.

Pros

- Management really cares about your growth and work/life balance - Excellent training opportunities and career growth - Extensive perks - Very positive work culture - They have a Department of Employee Happiness. I mean, come on! - Great comp time policy. You get all the time over 40 hours per week back essentially as extra vacation. - They actually treat you like a human being rather than just a "resource."

Cons

Honestly can't think of any. There is some mandatory buy-in to the company culture (you have to go to an annual all-hands meeting and participate in several check-ins throughout the year). So if you're not into "drinking the Kool-Aid" this might be a slight thorn in your side. Otherwise, great company!
