Good pay but not the best work environment

Pros

Easy job and flexible hours. It is also unionized and so there are protections in place for sick leave and vacation. People on the dock are generally really cool people.

Cons

The management is very toxic, they are also reactionary rather than active when an issue arises. Most of the time they will wait until the last possible moment to solve an issue and if they aren't personally effected by the issue they will not fix it.

Pros

Simple if repetitive work done via forklift. Coworkers that are willing to chat during off/down-time. Plenty of chances for OT for the newer hires.

Cons

Managment either has subpar communication, or none at all. The newer you are, the more likely you'll be required to work a 6th mandatory day "due to workload" that magically dries up the day after. Frequently low or out of supplies required to do job safely/correctly such as Tape, Seran wrap, and even soap for the bathroom at times.
