Hello and thank you for taking the time to provide us, as well as the Glassdoor community, your thoughts thus far into your tenure with us.
You do highlight a valid point — our meal allowance, as you stated, is simply a guideline — it's not the law. We make clear and constantly reiterate to our field employees or those that travel that it is simply a guideline to be cognizant of, but to have conversations with your manager if you know you're going to a large city where costs tend to run higher. Given that we have employees across the US and Canada, prices fluctuate geographically. While $45 in Texas will certainly cover a meal, it most likely will not in New York City. So, again, that's why we encourage that dialogue with your manager so those accommodations can be met.
Thank you again for being a member of our team — we look forward to what we both can accomplish in 2024 and beyond.
