Pros

Work from home is awesome. Go on site, do the work, then go home. Totally spoiled by it. Can't go back to the M-F 9-5 grind

Cons

lower pay then standard for the industry. 24/7 oncall standby stinks and "compensation" for it is a joke.

Thank you for your more than 8 years of support and for submitting a review on our Glassdoor page. We truly appreciate the feedback and all you have done to make TSP the company it is. I'm very happy you've enjoyed the work from home, and that definitely is a great aspect to some of our positions. Flexibility is an awesome perk! Thank you also for the information you submitted regarding industry pay and on call pay. Many of our pay rates are directly influenced by what our customers pay us. We run annual benchmarking every year to compare TSP pay rates and industry pay rates. That's not to say that every position is below, at, or above benchmark but we do use this data when negotiating rates with customers. We also use this information to cross-reference what our talent acquisition team is finding in the market place when they are recruiting. As a non-exempt employee, this means you are paid by the amount of time you work, and not by the job you do. This also means we pay you for time worked while you are on call. We do not however, pay you for being available. Employees who must be available to respond to a request by the employer to return to work for an emergency is considered to be on uncontrolled standby. Such "free" standby time need not be paid according to the Department of Labor (DOL). Generally, employers (including TSP) pay a premium for being on call, although according to the DOL they do not have to. I understand wanting more compensation and the potential inconvenience being on call has; however, it’s part of the job. I'm sorry that you feel our compensation for on call "stinks." Thank you again for all your efforts and submitting feedback via Glassdoor.

TSP team leads and manager very approachable, they want you to succeed.

Cons

I worked on the TI account. TSP is terrified of losing their biggest client which makes for a nervous atmosphere.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us feedback and thank you for your time while an employee of TSP. We appreciate both the positive feedback and constructive criticism. I'm sorry you felt a "nervous atmosphere" while at one of our accounts. That definitely wasn't our intent. It's true we're don't like losing any account, because we don't like to lose! When TSP started, nearly 80% of our revenue did come from one major account; however, through our emerging business efforts and year-over-year growth, that account now makes up around 25% of our revenue. That's not due to reductions, but instead the account has grown every both in revenue and employee counts. TSP is committed to becoming more diversified with our client portfolio. Thank you also for your advice on pay. This is a constant struggle for us as many of our contracted rates with our clients play a big part in what we can pay our employees. We continue to monitor market pay on an annual basis through our compensation practice. We have also implemented some systems recently to track employee pay rates and help our leaders better manage their employees total compensation. We wish you luck in your next career journey and thank you again for your feedback and contributions to TSP!

Pros

Technology Service Professionals is a fantastic company to work for and there really is not another place that I would prefer to call home! Our employees are very dedicated to the work that they do and most everyone is very passionate about their jobs here. From personal experience, I have never felt more involved in an organization than I do here and the main factors are the amazing people and the culture.

Cons

One of the downsides that I have seen at Technology Service Professionals is that, on occasion, there can be limited access to our employees in the field from the corporate headquarters or even from their managers if it is a busy time of year on one end or the other.

WOW...we're humbled by your review. Thanks so much for all the kind words. We're very happy our people and culture are the main factors to why you love TSP. We put a lot of time and resources into both of those items so it's nice to know it's paying off. Having one physical location in Dallas, TX and employees scattered in 38 different states and Canada is definitely a challenge. In today's ever-increasing global and virtual workforce, we constantly have to be aware of our virtual employees and make sure they stay connected to the company. If you have any suggestions, please make sure and get those to our talent management team and/or your manager. Thanks for all that you do to make TSP a great place and cheers!
