Pros

Targeted Victory operates like a family. As the office manager, I was fortunate enough to have a relationship with everyone on staff, and I truly enjoyed my interactions with each person. The management has a strong drive for success in the company as well as the individual employees. They take time to make sure there is a team atmosphere and that everyone is working toward common goals. Work hard, play hard is definitely their motto. While there is a lot of work, especially during election seasons, there is a strong sense of community and you feel like you're all in the same boat. My particular position allowed for great autonomy. The senior management put a lot of trust in me to do my job in the best way I knew how, keeping in mind that I wanted the best for the company, too. In my experience, there is intrinsic reward in the work itself, and the compensation (benefits, salary, atmosphete, independence, friendships, etc included) really makes the job a once in a lifetime experience.

Cons

The only con for me was having to leave! I moved away, but I still keep in contact with the company and the great friends I've made.

Great people and a great environment

Pros

Laid back environment with an open office plan, casual dress code, and employees with incredibly diverse backgrounds - engineers. campaign alumni, data scientists, developers, designers, etc. You can really learn a lot quickly, and take on more responsibility. Salary is competitive and the benefits are great. There is genuine camaraderie within the various teams at Targeted Victory and management really makes an effort to help staff succeed.

Cons

As expected, hours get longer during peak election season. This is across all departments though - you'll never be the only one working late!

Pros

If your a hardcore conservative republican there are some decent social events around the Winter Holidays.

Cons

The Leadership will fire you or lay you off very quickly if you are not a "profitable employee". You can get hired during elections and fired right after The severance is not very good if you fired/laid off The pay is much less than industry competitors The Hours are LONG during campaign time, and you do not get paid overtime. Even though there is a flexible vacation/sick time, it is highly encouraged that you do not take any time off. If you take time off you get a lot of criticism.
