Pros

You'll meet friendly co-workers and acquire some skills that will prepare you for the actual, professional workforce.

Cons

Wow, where to begin? First, and perhaps most importantly, there's zero job security. None. I see the company is currently recruiting. Don't let them sell these positions as full-time, long-term work. As CEO Zac Moffatt fraudulently claimed in January, these jobs are cyclical. They will work you like a dog until the work slows down and then you will promptly be disposed of. And don't think that putting in extra effort or working late into the night and weekends will earn you any favor. There is an extremely cliquey work culture here. Your chances of survival depend far more on your social currency than any sort of work ethic. That is exceptionally true of the Prospecting team. It is very apparent that management and executive leadership don't know how to properly run a business. It's really hard working for a company where management can't be trusted to be competent. There's no sense of longevity here, which is a shame because the company really had potential.

Pros

You'll learn the best marketing/fundraising skills at Targeted Victory. The company culture is exceptional, and you'll get to meet lots of talented colleagues here.

Cons

Aside from getting laid off from Targeted Victory (as did 30% of the company in January), I've been promised and told that my promotion would be granted in January, as did some other colleagues. At the last minute, HR informed everyone that promotions, raises, and quarterly reviews would be pushed back to April. After all the hard work and dedication that employees gave for the 2022 cycle was all for nothing, and I rarely took PTO while others who survived the layoffs got to take vacations after vacations. The leadership told us that we didn't have to worry about layoffs in 2022, and then laid us off at the very last minute without any advance notice. HR virtually does not exist — they do little-to-nothing to mitigate personal conflicts in the company. Furthermore, they brought in very questionable employees who were beyond incompetent for our line of work. They'll simply dismiss the concerns brought forward, which left me very distasteful of HR (As many others discussed as well). Gossiping and drama are extremely prevalent in the company (Which should not be surprising considering that it's the DC world). You'll meet very great friends at Targeted Victory, but many colleagues are snakes that have mouth chatters.
