Pros

This company does a great job of giving recent college graduates tangible work experience. They primarily hire recent graduates for their analyst and associate level. If you have any post-grad work experience before applying, negotiate the associate level. It's arbitrary and is used to gatekeep/separate people who have stayed at the company for a full year, and work experience is how you get around that barrier. You will know within the first month if the role is for you, trust your instincts if it doesn't feel like a right fit, start heading toward the door. The company did offer employees an opportunity to take an exit package before doing their massive layoff. Please read cons list for more info on layoffs.

Cons

This company does not value people and only operates based on election cycles. They only speak about time as it refers to election cycles (every two years). During 2022 they hired like crazy to fill roles and bolster teams, only to fire 150 people in January after saying there wouldn't be layoffs. Get your experience and get out, that's the best advice I can give to any young professional. Manager level (2.5-3 years experience at the company) was also not safe. There was no loyalty to people in this layoff. If you join this company in the year 2024 your job is not secure and know that after the election you very well might go. Don't coast here, get your experience and do what you want to do and get out. PTO is unlimited, but you will not get approved for any in the 5 months before elections, and if so you will be heavily leaned on still and won't be able to unplug. This job does not value your personal time. If this were a job paid hourly you would have double your salary. You will work long days and nights, the company becomes insane close to an election, and there are no boundaries with your personal life.

Pros

- Work is engaging and challenging, you will be exposed to top-tiered clients - Fun, casual environment

Cons

While the culture varies drastically within each team, there is no excuse for many of the things that occur at Targeted Victory. While the company says this casual environment is part of their company culture and a strength, it made for an uncomfortable workplace. Employees leave at 2 pm to go golfing and leave others to do their work. You will find employees across the office dipping chewing tobacco, both at their desks and even in meetings. At times, I felt looked down upon as a female employee, particularly as there is only one female director in the entire company. Male employees treat the workplace like a frat house, and this gives little room for a female employee to enjoy the "amazing company culture". Overall, if you want to be taken seriously and have your education and knowledge valued, this may not be the setting for you.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, flexible hybrid schedule, decent work culture and benefits

Cons

I learned many lessons in enduring toxicity and deception in the workplace during my time at TV. I encountered behavior from leadership that was not only disrespectful but also blatantly dishonest, creating an environment where I felt undervalued and demoralized, daily. There is no such thing as transparency or integrity. You are either the "class pet" in a way, with promises to go far, or worked like a dog, and will never get any acknowledgment or growth. The arrogance of a team leader created a very hostile and toxic environment, specifically for the project managers. There is no legitimate direction or mentorship in how to grow in your position. I was often berated with corporate jargon and told that I would never succeed unless I was performing perfectly at all times. It's marketing, not surgery. I was never given clear tasks I did "wrong" either. The leadership leads off of emotions about a person, not about performance.
