Pros

There's a flat structure to management. I have direct conversations with CEO, CTO and CFO on regular basis and always feel like I have been listened to by them. With this flat structure comes a lot of trust for each employee. If you feel unhappy about something there are a lot of avenues to address it and management will work hard to improve things as soon as issues are raised. Hard work is appreciated by everyone in the company and is quickly noticed by management. There's no expectation for anyone to work beyond their normal hours and there's no competition among team members as occurs in a lot of companies of similar size. The company genuinely cares about its staff. We get a lot of perks, regardless of the department or level including free gym memberships, free snacks, catered lunches and more. We also have regular company events where we are encouraged to come together and enjoy ourselves. The company also arranges regular movie nights where we are treated to new releases in the adjacent cinema with all our costs covered. There's a great culture overall at the company. There is nobody who I am not comfortable sitting down with and just chatting to over lunch, coffee or just in passing. Everyone makes an effort to make new people feel happy here and attempt to include new hires as much as possible. The company is always growing and the future looks very bright for all staff. We are growing really fast which is great and it feels good to be a part of that. Everyone is given the power to influence the direction of the company and is encouraged to think like an owner. On top of that, we share in the profits of the company which I think leads to better work on all levels and for people to do their best to affect change.

Cons

While we are growing fast and it is an exciting time, it's sometimes hard to keep up with all the new hires. This is only an issue for a week after someone new is hired and then you quickly get to know everyone.

Pros

- Development is not stale, tech keeps moving forward, you're not stuck with 20 year old stack that only works on IE6. - Developers are provided with any equipment they need. - There's a good mix of people from various backgrounds with various experiences, each of their individual knowledge makes progress a lot easier and we're encouraged to share what we know. - Owners are genuinely concerned about our happiness, work-life balance and general well-being. - Flexible hours, remote friendly and even for in-office employees, working off-site every now and then is possible. - Expenses covered for conferences of your own choice. - Free (relevant) online courses and books provided. - Office has plenty of snacks, fruit, drinks, coffee. Speaking of offices, the new Teamwork Campus One is amazing!

Cons

- The company is growing fast and it can be hard for things to stay in sync, but the processes are getting improved/established. Would like to see improvement in inter-department interaction, it would be a shame to see the company turn into a cliquey highschool. - Pay reviews were irregular and uncommon, it seemed you would have to push commits at 3AM for months to get noticed, however we are told this is getting addressed in 2017.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write a review. Great to see that you're feeling all the 'Pros'. There are a few things in the pipeline and I'd love to hear your ideas for improving the hiring process. If you're happy to share your thoughts, please send them through to me directly or use an internal feedback form, or we can grab a coffee/lunch or if you're remote maybe a quick hangout would be good. We've added to the team and have a Talent Acquisition Specialist joining us in a few weeks which will improve all things hiring-related! Sorry to hear you've been disappointed by not having had a pay review. They have been happening in the background and haven't been related to doing crazy hours at all. We're addressing this issue with the introduction of bi-annual pay reviews, in conjunction with more regular performance reviews. If you want to talk to me about this please let me know. Cheers, Orla
