Pros

- smart and nice people - only excellent work is pushed to public - product with great potential in digital health space - very affordable healthcare

Cons

- not enough hands - more layoffs meant more responsibility to take on - stressed out upper heads in engineering imposing high-stress among engineers - multiple accounts of recruiters saying they offer RSU but its stock option we needed to buy - kaiser not offered

Pros

There were still a few good people working when I first arrived.

Cons

Engineering leadership is big on platitudes, but short on clear vision, principles or... leadership. Engineers -and employees in general- are treated like an expense instead of an investment. This has resulted in nearly every key person departing the company, leaving behind knowledge gaps in critical products, and generating a reciprocal decline in morale. The fact that they're addicted to layoffs as a means to stop the bleeding serves only to amplify the problems.
