Pros

People are fun to talk with. Managers are fairly hands-off when it comes to organizing their staff. If you generate enough numbers, they will leave you to your own devices.

Cons

Heavy earning ceiling, they promote you to manager and take away half or more of your territory. Bonus/commission pay scale is designed to keep you in poverty.

Pros

You don't need any industry experience. You can make decent money.

Cons

They will chew you up and spit you out. The benefits are well below industry average--PTO is only 10 days, which includes sick time, and they will dock you for every minute missed--and the medical insurance is expensive. You're expected to work more than 40 hours a week, plus do "team" activities outside of work hours, which usually include copious amounts of drinking. The people are very cliquey, so if you are not one of "them", get ready for high school attitudes. No real opportunity for advancement--you can be in "recruiting" (read: sales) or a "sales manager," but there is very little real difference, and that is it. Lots of employees straight out of college and a very immature environment overall. Their business model is stuck in about 1998.

Pros

Wonderful environment to work in, and the money can be fantastic. If you are willing to come in and put your head down and work - the money will follow. This is not instant gratification however, it will take a while to learn the business and put together a solid pipeline. If you are dedicated and disciplined it will happen sooner rather than later.

Cons

not really any cons to mention
