Terrible place to work

Pros

This company should be out of business soon

Cons

The owner of this company is extremely self centerened, out of date, unaware, and has no concern for the people who work hard day in and out for a poor salary and commission structure. The owner went as far as to write on Facebook that his employees will not amount to anything even outside of this job. More than half of the company, including key players , have quit with in the last year. There is no real training at this company, and they are immensely behind on recruiting technology, and practices. The have failed to pay their employees commission on several occasions and use unacceptable excuses as to why you have to wait to be paid. The owner and operating management is quick to blame employees for the downfall of this company but the truth is their lack of leadership skills and training as well as failure to listen to concerns of their staff is what will ultimately close down this "company " for good.

Pros

The minimal paycheck ($500/week).

Cons

The upper management doesn't communicate down at all. The company is going under so they are letting hoards of people go at once. Absolutely ridiculous call goals to make each day. Little territories to work within. No feedback on work done, so you better hope you are doing well or sucking up to management and on their good side, because your job could be at stake and they will smile at you and tell you you're doing a fantastic job and to keep it up. They tend to let people go right before they are eligible for benefits. They are all about closing deals, so unless you close a deal before your 3 months probationary period is up, you're screwed. Don't try to have a family and work this job, because they don't care if your child is sick or you don't have someone to watch your kid. No reviews to better yourself or guidance from anyone. The culture is that of any sales environment, so watch out for yourself.

Thank you for your feedback. TechniPower offers a traditional inside sales opportunity. We give all of our employees the tools & training necessary to be successful in our industry. At the end of the day it is up to the individual sales person to put themselves in a position to find & close a deal. Unlike other sales organizations we do not have a quota in place. We feel that the undo stress of a quota is counterproductive to our team achieving their goals. Having said that we do expect everyone to put forth the required effort & energy necessary to have success. Being able to have 2 solid sales conversations per hour is not an insurmountable goal. However the stress & pressure of a career in sales is not for everyone. A six figure income requires a six figure effort.

Pros

You might find some life long friends while working there, but that's about all i can think of.

Cons

Management doesn't manage correctly. Very much a high school environment. You can even pick out the mean girls of the company. Promotions are based on who the best brown noser is, not who deserves it. Sexual Harrassment- I know management hears and sees it. But they don't do anything about it.
