Pros

Great job if you like cleaning up tons of poop, having the training period you were promised literally halved, and getting laterally bullied by every nurse on the floor because of your inexperience.

Cons

I was given a false pitch for a job here as a new RN. I was first assigned to a preceptor who stopped showing up to work, then I was assigned to a preceptor who spent most of the day talking to me like I was a complete and total moron. Most of the nurses on the floor were aggrieved when they had to help me in any way. Would've been a great job if it hadn't been my very first as an RN. Because of that, and because of my personality and learning style, the job was a disaster from day one.

Pros

If you want to train in a high-volume, inner-city environment, this place is perfect.

Cons

It seems like no one likes working here. Everyone seems miserable and wants to leave but for some reason, they don't leave. It's a strange phenomenon. The staff is rude and careless and patients are aware of it. There's also a lot of virtue signaling and I cannot wait to get out of this sickening environment. Everyone touts diversity here like it's the only word they know. But true diversity means a variety of people, SES, and life experiences. You don't actually get that here. It is a very specific population, which is fine. But it's a misnomer to call it diversity. I hear the state will be taking over the hospital because we always fail our inspections. Not surprised.

Pros

Benefits are average and some of the people are great to work with.

Cons

Management is all over the place! People get fired for reasons that wasn't their fault. Some parts of the organization have aggressive management styles (more than one manager). Network is always going down, makes it harder to do your job. Blame game - it's nobody's fault but yours "kinda attitude"
