Pros
- Get to work with smart and intelligent scientists (but they are leaving), - Working location/schedule is flexible if you're not a lab person.
Cons
- Dirty data everywhere!!! The database is enormous but poorly maintained due to fast expansion and lack of head counts. There is no separate team taking charge of data qualities. People working on databases have their hands full with continuous new demands, leaving them no time to do QC work. - Lack of upper management (at least in R&D). Organization structure is unclear. Every department reports to the CEO, who is an expert in business but obviously not an expert in Science and engineering. - Demanding work. Workload got massively increased over this year. You're expected to do work beyond your job duty. Folks are working overtime and over the weekend quite frequently. No work and life balance. - Pays are way below the market. No real incentives (hilarious and insulting bonus). No clear career development. Instead of promoting talented people inside the company, they'd rather hire people outside of the healthcare industry. Good middle management never got promoted (and they are leaving).
