Pros

Not behind a desk and meet people from all walks of life. Company truck so you don't have to use your own gas

Cons

Management sucks. They care more about themselves . They talk about being ethical and they are some of the Most unethical people I have met. Practice what you preach. Cancellations count against your pay even if it's something that's out of you control like a customer dying for instance. If you don't make commission then you can barely pay your bills

Pros

Decent paychecks. Peer camaraderie is good. Meeting people on a day to day basis. Decent vacation time. Slow winter months. Get own company vehicle with a gas card.

Cons

Horrible scheduling. Horrible mid management. No work life balance. You're a $ not a person. Some customers demands are absolutely ridiculous. Company adds all these new services that they expect you to do, but don't train you how to do it. Shoddy equipment. Weekly service meetings are pointless.

If anyone cancels their account for any reason. Even if it is completely not the techs fault, like the billing department makes them mad, they move, they die, they lose their jobs. It comes out of OUR check! If you have so many cancels per month, good luck paying your bills.
