Pros

Company Gas Card and Truck

Cons

Long hours when they need, inconsistent paychecks to support your family. I took a job with Terminix with the promise of more. That ended VERY quickly. Sadly, my wife quit her job to take care of our twin babies because this was supposed to be a good, stable job. From not knowing how much I was going to make from one week to another, the constant pressure of loosing your job over any mistake. I watched my teammates disappear, then it came to my turn. This job was not worth it. Not to mention expecting to loose $4 an hour this Christmas due to the project ending. IF you're looking for a transition job to move to something different. Then this job is good. This is not a career move or a job you should count on to take care of a family with. Termnix is going down the drain with all the lawsuits and they can't even afford to keep employees they hire to get them out of the hole from all the mistreatment of homes in the past.

Very Micromanaged and Long Hours

Pros

The work is challenging and you have a chance to help others.

Cons

The constant micromanaging and changes in strategic vision cause a lot of issues. I also do not like having to constantly justify every little thing to those above me. We spend a large amount of time sending in reports or being on conference calls reporting out numbers or going over whatever metrics has currently been deemed important instead of being able to be out in the field helping your employees. The company does not let managers do what they were hired for. In addition to all of the micromanaging, as a manager here at Terminix there are extremely long hours. As much as corporate preaches work life balance, there is a shockingly little amount of it due to the constant pressure to meet company demands and score high on metrics.

Pros

The pay was decent, but you worked your butt off for it, 60+ hours (6 days/week every week), OT was not optional.

Cons

Constant micromanagement. The training was a complete joke. By far the worst company I ever worked for!
