Soul Sucking Life Of A Call Center Rep
Pros
The chairs are cozy and the coworkers are pretty cool most of the time. Other than that, nothing really.
Cons
Where do I start? This is the most vile, evil, cold company I have ever worked for. I work in the call center and had worked there for three and a half years, I can tell you first hand, they care nothing about their employees or their customers. On our first day of training we are told to say whatever we have to say to our customers to make them happy or get the sale, even if it's a lie. Things were kind of okay in the call centers until they created several levels of customer service, hold times for the customer more than quadrupled just to get to the first person who can't and won't help you. They will then transfer you again to a higher up department where they sit on hold for another 20 minutes just for us to give them no resolution and just tell them the branch would be emailed. The branches look at the call center as incompetent morons but we only do as we are told from management. They over work the techs on the field sometimes having 30+ stops a day on their schedules and still tell us to schedule more if it's available. No wonder there's such an issue with techs not showing to appointments, sometimes the drive between stops is close to if not more than an hour. Bottom line is, if you're a robot and don't need to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, or breathe then this job is great for you.
