Pros

Company parties, food, relaxed dress code work remotely, happy hour Friday with free booze in the office before going home, beer pong in the hallway

Cons

Poor systems, no formal training, too many exceptions to the rules, good ole boy system, lack of compliance to state and federal regulations, unorganized internal systems and processes, fraud is ok if it makes the client happy, puts employees, clients, and the company at risk by failing to comply with basic consumer protection regulations

Pros

They try to win you on the interview. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Cons

Extremely catty environment. Horrible place for growth and support. Misrepresentation about compensation and opportunities. Issues with managers hating other managers and they will put you in the middle. Managers constantly talking ill of other employees on their teams. They pride themselves on being a self proclaimed "cult". Very little knowledge minus a few key players. Uncompetitive benefits

The job title specified and several things in the post don't seem to match up with our firm. Compensation is clearly laid out in our job offers and requires the recruit's confirmation that they understand it when the job is accepted. The only compensation change we made in the past year is giving all colleagues shares of the firm when we went public. We also have a robust benefits package that includes community service PTO, free telehealth and when a colleague performs a certain number wellness activities (which include things like getting a flu shot, using our free workout program, or taking 5 consecutive days off), their health insurance becomes free. The BKS environment is one of collaboration and helping each other learn, grow and thrive. BKS offers fantastic learning opportunities that range from in-person training and knowledge sharing to reimbursement programs for advanced education. We pride ourselves on having Insight Beyond Insurance. We are empathetic to your situation and will take the experience you shared as a learning opportunity on how we can avoid things like this in our environment. We hope you find a place where you can thrive in your future endeavors!
